Farm Resource Management DSS
- Provided leadership, technical expertise and implementation on a Decision Support System
for PCs funded by Deere & Company and the Institute of Energy and Mineral Resources
for a farm machinery selection, management and cost evaluation.
- Developed and integrated QuickBASIC, Macro Assembler and Turbo PROLOG modules.
- Database management was implemented using Random Access flat files.
- QuickBASIC serveed as the shell, providing data access, graphical user interface, I/O,
engineering and graphics libraries, and module integration.
- Macro Assembler was used to develop a windowing system.
- Turbo PROLOG was used as the expert system inference engine.
- Optimal resource configuration and scheduling reports were generated for output.
Electronic Balance Control
- In charge of a project for Texas Agricultural Experiment Station, for the development of
an electronic balance interface used in data collection and control, via an RS-232C
interface.
- The communications and user interface program was developed originally in QuickBASIC 4
and was later upgraded to Visual Basic 1 for DOS.
Prototype DAC System
- Developed a prototype data acquisition and control system.
- Used a Motorola M68010 CPU and corresponding peripheerals
- Operating system and BIOS were developed and programmed in Assembler, and burned into
EEPROM.
ENERCON Project
- Provided sooftware consulting services for ENERCON to an agricultural mechanization and
research project for the government of Pakistan.
- Developed complete tractor performance data acquisition and engineering analysis
program, using QuickBASIC 4.
- Results were analyzed and displayed graphically.
